We have come a long way

during the past 

quarter of a million years 


We have reached

so far beyond our roots that

were our technology turned off

most of us would be incapable 

of surviving for a season

and then only if

we were in the right place

at the right time 

when the switch was thrown


Becoming who we are now

has been as enabling

as it has been crippling

in the real world


But this is the path we are on

and there is no turning back


Being enhanced

means living symbiotically

and never having to say

we are sorry
