No matter what

No matter what Before there was space or time there was energy with nowhere to go  no place to call its own  only fields without fermions  Then suddenly like a magic trick  in a dark room there were baryons  in an expanding void and surfing photons surpassing the speed of light During that Planck moment the first ten to the minus   forty four seconds or so times five point three nine everything was born It has been a while getting on fourteen billion years  but humans still can’t get along like a Pauli exclusion principal at the scale of life Aubrey Lieberman  12/25/23

Why there are so many love songs

Why there are so many love songs We sing about love more than anything else because we are human the seekers of meaning in the fractured reality  we call the anthropocene  Love is the cosmological constant the source of equilibrium  the order which emerges  from the apparent chaos of the multiverse we call humanity Love is as visible as gravity is the force which changes our disparate trajectories  bending us  toward the light Love for another  is a ripple in spacetime love for others the wrinkles  sparkling in the light of our only sun falling upon the water of the great lake we call humankind  Love depicts the prevalence of kindness the domino effect of spreading goodness the waves of peace breaking upon the shores of our common existence Love is the particle the source of our unity and hate the antiparticle  which will annihilate us We need more love songs more music  and more words which will entangle us all on our journe...

Speech

Speech Words are communal We share them freely We use them  to share ideas here and now to access ideas generated in the past to pass on our ideas to those who will be alive  long after we are gone Sharing is  the antithesis of loneliness Language unites us  Aubrey Lieberman 12/12/23

One hundred thousand years

One hundred thousand years A family huddles around a blazing fire everyone wrapped in animal skins The children munch on what is left on the bones after a big meal I'm struggling to find words says one of the elders sipping from a wooden bowl filled with sweet water they gather during the warm season and preserve in the snow near their cave for moments like this one We see just a few fires from here on this hill very far from us on other slopes and in other valleys  In 100,000 years from now there will be fires everywhere so many fires that the whole earth will burn Aubrey Lieberman 12/10/23 This story takes place 102,023 years BCE
